Is my data safe?
100%. Files never leave your machine — ever. Molt has no telemetry, no analytics, and no network calls except optional update checks (which you can disable in Settings).
Does it work offline?
Completely. Molt doesn't need the internet to convert files. Once downloaded, it works forever — on a plane, in a cabin, with the WiFi off.
Mac or Windows? Both?
Both, with one license. macOS Universal runs natively on Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) and Intel Macs. Windows x64 included.
How does the 14-day trial work?
Download, open, use everything free for 14 days. No credit card, no account. A small countdown banner sits at the bottom of the app. When the trial ends, enter a license key to unlock permanently.
Can I use it for commercial work?
Yes. One license covers up to 2 devices — use it for personal projects, client work, freelance, or agency work. No restrictions on what you convert or how often.
How many devices can I use one license on?
Two — for example your personal Mac and a work Mac, or a Mac and a Windows PC. The license is tied to your key, not a specific machine, so if you get a new computer just activate with the same key. Need more than 2? Email us and we'll sort it out.
Can it handle PDFs?
Yes — three ways. Drop images and select PDF to merge them into a single document. Drop multiple PDFs to merge them together. Or drop a PDF and pick PNG/JPG/TIFF to extract every page as an image. All done in pure Rust — no Ghostscript, no Poppler, no system dependencies required.
What's an Early Bird license?
The first 50 licenses sold include an exclusive animated companion — Pixel Robin — that you won't be able to get any other way. It's tied to your license key, not a device, so switching machines doesn't lose it. Same price as everyone else; it's a thank-you for betting on something new.
